Kindergarten Registration Information

Kindergarten Registration Information and Requirements

All children registering for kindergarten must be 5 years old on or before August 31, 2024​

Step 1: Use the online registration system ​to register your child for kindergarten.

The following items are required to ​register a child for kindergarten:

• Birth Certificate
  
• Proof of Residence
• Parent/Guardian Photo ID
• Immunization Records
• North Carolina Health Assessment Form

These documents can be uploaded during online ​registration or emailed to our data manager.

Step 2: Sign up for a kindergarten camp date and ​time. Camps will be held Friday, May 24 and Tuesday, ​July 16, 8:00-10:30 or 12:30-3:00. You must complete ​online registration for your child before signing up ​for camp. During camp, your child will participate in ​pre-kindergarten screening and have the chance to ​explore our classrooms and playground. Snack and ​drink provided. Use the link below to complete a ​Google Form to sign up for your first and second ​choices for camp dates and times. More information ​will be provided through email after you sign up.

Kindergarten Hall

This year we have five kindergarten classrooms. Check out the video to see a tour of one of our classes!

Morning Arrival:

• There are two lanes of traffic during morning arrival. Join one of the lanes and a staff member will assist the merging process.
  
• Students can begin exiting cars at 7:10 AM. Staff members will be available to help.
  

Afternoon Dismissal:

• The back parking lot/car rider pick up area opens at 2:10 PM. Please do not arrive to the school or enter the lot before this time.
  
• There are four lanes of traffic. Staff members will direct cars into the appropriate lanes and assist with the merging process.
  

For the safety of our students and staff, always drive slowly in our lot, keep your phone and other devices put away, and follow all directions of staff members.

Breakfast and Lunch

Students are served breakfast and lunch in the Mini-J Cafe each day. Breakfast is taken to classrooms upon arrival, and lunch is eaten in the cafeteria.

All students at Landis Elementary receive free breakfast and lunch.

Paso 2: Regístrese en la fecha y hora de un ​campamento de kindergarten. Los campamentos se ​llevarán a cabo el viernes mayo 24 y el martes 16 de julio, ​8:00-10:30 o 12:30-3:00. Debe completar el registro ​online de su hijo(a) antes de inscribirse. Durante el ​campamento, su hijo(a) participará en la entrevista de ​pre-jardín y tendrá la oportunidad de explorar nuestras ​aulas de clase y el patio de juegos. Se proporciona ​pasabocas y bebidas. Use el link de abajo para ​completar el formulario Google para inscribirse en su ​primera y segunda opción en las fechas y horas del ​campamento. Más información se enviará por email ​después de registrarse.

Llegada en la Mañana:

• Hay dos carriles de entrada durante la llegada en la mañana. Llegue a uno de los carriles y un miembro del equipo le asistirá para incorporarse a la fila.
  
• Los estudiantes pueden empezar a salir de los carros a las 7:10 AM. Miembros del equipo escolar estarán disponibles para recibirles.
  

Salida en la Tarde:

• La zona de estacionamiento trasero o área de recogida de estudiantes abre a las 2:10 PM. Por favor no llegue al colegio o ingrese al parqueadero antes de dicha hora.
  
• Hay cuatro carriles de tráfico. Miembros del equipo escolar dirigirán los carros a los carriles apropiados y le asistirán en el proceso de incorporación a la fila.
  

Por seguridad para nuestros estudiantes y personal, siempre maneje lentamente en nuestro parqueadero, guarde su teléfono y otros dispositivos, y siga todas las instrucciones del personal escolar.
